We may assume something is true when we have little or no experience, but we Presume something to be true based on experience, facts, or the lack thereof. We Presume someone is innocent until proven guilty, and we Presume a lot of things in business and other areas of life. Wise people know the different shades of truth: facts, conclusions, Presumptions, assumptions, definitions, etc. The unwise just see things as true or not.
