Being Authentic can be a frightening thing, as most of us have a strong need for approval and a fear of being rejected. But being true to yourself is one of the most empowering things anyone can ever do. Again, I am reminded of one of my favorite poems from The First Light of Joy: “Some Will Think”:
Some will think I’m crazy,
Some will find me Wise.
Some will fall in Love with me,
And others will despise.
Some will Love my songs and poems,
Some will turn away.
Some will find The Angel Within,
Others, not today.
But I choose to speak with Courage and Love
My Truth to share so sweetly.
So I may serve the ones I can,
While Loving All Completely.
